Andrew is a graduate of Journalism, Film and Media studies from the University of Stirling, his website is his commentary on the world of sport and development. He a hugely passionate and a big believer of the role sport (particularly football) can play in social and community development all over the world.
Having held a range of positions in the football development sector both in Britain and internationally for the past four years, through his involvement with UKSport’s IDEALS project and now the ‘Supporters Direct Scotland‘ where he is Network Development Manager – Andrew has clearly developed a breadth of knowledge and applied experiences.
His role at Supporters Direct Scotland involves developing a voice to represent football fans across Scotland. Supporters Direct work with supporters trusts in order to make clubs more sustainable.
Alongside this role Andrew is the Communications Manager for Winning Scotland Foundation, a Scottish charity which uses sport for social development.
Having spent three summers working on Sport for Development projects in Africa, Andrew also co-founded ‘Africa on the Ball‘, a non-profit organisation which uses the power of football for social development. Please check out the website to find out more about Andrews project in Zambia.
